That is nothing! it isn't chewed from the bottom that sticks out to the eye from the parking french fries.

Yeah, it's definitely very minor. I've got a long and illustrious history of driving low/lowered cars so I'm pretty good at avoiding scrubbing the lips but this happened when I was on the way home from picking up the car very late at night and just didn't get quite the right angle leaving the gas station.

Not to jack your forsale thread but can I ask you few questions about your garage? What floor is that? and what cabinets are those? I need to get my garage cleaned up and my epoxy floor is peeling so I'm looking to do something different.

Floor is RaceDeck. I'm not happy with it for a working garage. Floor jacks and stands punch through it. Also I can't get it to clean up very well. It also warps in the sun and my cars are starting to push it back just a little bit at a time to the point where some places I cut out to go around parking posts and whatnot are buckling.

Cabinets are NewAge Bold Series cabinets. They are all-metal and Costco runs a deal on them from time to time. I'm fairly happy with them as far as a budget solution goes. I would prefer them to be a different color but can't complain much for the price.

Hi,
What is doing "an in-and-out with my dealer so that I can save on sales tax for the new GT4."
Thanks,
Fabe

Hi Fabe,

I haven't done one before but my understanding is that the dealer handles the transaction between private parties (for a fee that I would pay) so that it can be considered as a trade towards the new car for tax purposes. Like a shortened version of me selling the car to the dealer and the dealer selling it to the buyer. Hence in-and-out. Shouldn't change anything for the buyer just a condition of sale that will help me.

It certainly changes things for the buyer, if they are in a no tax from private party state. They now have to pay tax on it because it is no longer a private sale. Sucks for someone like myself who is otherwise tempted.

Which states don't charge tax in private-party auto transactions?

Another benefit of the "in-and-out" as described is that it could give the buyer an ounce more comfort that the transaction is more legitimate and not some sort of scam. (Not that any RLers would perpetrate scams, of course.)

If the in-and-out request becomes a big hindrance I won't let it get in the way of a sale of course.

"Courtesy trades" make it MUCH easier for both sides. Good luck, seems we're selling against each other but I would guess slightly different buyers given colors.

Arizona would be one - assuming this hasn't changed since I moved 6 yrs ago.
