Exterior:
The original paint is in very good condition for a driven car of this age.
There are minor stone chips and marks that are expected. Sunroof is fully
functional. Rear hatch is still adhered to frame and rear wiper functions properly. The clear stone guards have been replaced and are in great condition
Exterior Extras:
This car has the last set of factory 968 Aero mirrors in the US. These are no longer available.
The sale comes with two sets of wheels. Street wheels are 17” twist
wheels from a 996 series 911.
The second set of wheels are the 16” factory Design 90 wheels. These have been used as track wheels and come with Kumho V700 Victoracer R rated tires. The tires have several heat cycles remaining.
Custom ABS plastic Front Splitter (full batwing under tray) this was a limited edition splitter fabricated by a Rennlist member. The ABS plastic is great for a street driven car as it can take some abuse and not crack like fiberglass. It also looks GREAT!
Interior: The stock interior is in excellent condition with the Factory Blaupundt Charleston AM/FM Cassette stereo, front speakers have been replaced, rear speakers are in need of replacement. The stock partial leather seats are in excellent condition with minor wear. Unfortunately the air conditioning does not blow cold. The leather shift boot has been replaced.
Interior Extras:
In addition to the stock seats a set of Corbaeu race seats are included in the sale. These have the adjustable backrest with sliders and holes for shoulder belts and submarine belt. The drivers seat bolsters show wear and the cloth around the submarine belt needs re-sown.
A “C” pillar mount harness guide bar is included (Currently not installed).
Mechanicals: Maintenance has been the top priority of this car. Oil changes have been frequent with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil. Cam chain tensioner and timing belts have been changed on regular intervals. Plug wires have been replaced. Engine rod bearings were inspected at approximately 100,000miles with bearings found to be well within specification. New spring centered clutch installed at 112,000 miles.
Mechanical Extras:
Fuel lines have been replaced with braided steel lines.
Brake lines have been replaced with braided steel lines.
Strut tower bearings have been replaced with billet aluminum units.
A strut tower brace is installed.
Slotted brake rotors are installed with Pagid brake pads.
Koni yellow adjustable struts have been installed front and rear.
The front springs have been replaced with adjustable spring perches and 200# springs.
The front control arm ball joints have been rebuilt with the Rennbay ball joint kit.
The control arm rear caster blocks have been replaced with the upgraded 968 caster blocks.
The front sway bar is a factory 968 M030 30mm hollow bar.
The rear sway bar is a factory 968 M030 19mm three way adjustable bar.
Rear half shafts were replaced approximately 8,000 miles ago.
Sale also includes a heavy duty car cover.
