Yes the stock 60k miles 3.6ltr GT3 motor. The driver was my friend Cameron. He is not a pro just a weekend HPDE guy. He never raced and does not hold a race license.
After the build he did not get a chance to get comfortable with the car on track again. He was sidelined with family stuff. Only 3 track days on the new motor.
The magic in this car is the Ohlins suspension. It would cost a fortune to duplicate the efforts that were put into the shock valving.
With the new motor I think a 1:55 is possible over the top at Thunderhill.

I thought that car looked familiar. Miss my DE buddy, be sure to tell him Pete said hello. He worked many hours with Doug Brenner (awesome guy) to set up that suspension.

I have had a good amount of interest. I think the 90k price tag has been scaring most off. I listed it a but high to give myself some wiggle room. Bottom line is 80k for this amazing GT3.

2hrs left on auction. Reserve has been met. Current price $75,100. Screaming deal at that!

Steve someone got a hell of a good deal. Just like the 2010 RS I sold you everyone was afraid of the miles. That made no sense to me since the motor has 3k miles and 3 track days and the suspension/trans have 10k miles and 15-20 track days. I can't believe this car for so little. The shop doing the PPI was amazed too. They commented on how clean it is.
Just like your RS this car got most of it's miles driving down the freeway. I don't know why buyers value low miles when start and stops are what puts the most wear and tear on motors.
Anyway I am sure the new owner will be tickled pink just like you.

New owner's probably in a state of disbelief that someone was willing to hand over the keys to such a great car for a mere pittance. It's kinda like winning the lottery and I hope whoever it is drives the wheels off of that car.

I still (kind of) regret not grabbing that RS :-) It was a good deal especially in hind sight.

I listed it for 90k expecting to see 80k out of it. I turned down a few 75k offers earlier in the year. The car has been listed everywhere for the last 6 months and it was just was not moving. The ebay buyer won the auction at 75k. It was pretty much in line with what I had been offered before so that's where I set the reserve. In my mind I settled for $5k less than I wanted not $15k. I don't even want to repeat the $60k insult offers I got.

Happy you sold it. But to be fair. I would have never offered you 75 for a car you are asking 90 for. So had you listed it for 80, I bet you would have had guys banging down your door. And prob sold for 85.
In general, I think it's better to set a realistic price than automatically think guys will low ball you no matter what. The market is efficient.
Great car. Good sale. Time to move on. Cheers.
