Everything is stock and working, including the lights, all gauges, electric HARD BACK sport seats, sunroof, windows, mirrors, automatic rear wing, cruise control... everything. Working AC. Original air compressor, jack and tool kit. The interior has some minor wear. Original Becker radio sounds great. Two working key remotes. The motor starts right up with no smoke, pulls hard and doesn't drip oil. The Varioram works great. The six speed shifts smoothly and the clutch, while aging, doesn't slip.
The original polar silver paint looks great in most places as you can see. There's a 1/4 inch stone chip in the windshield, many stone chips in the paint on the nose, and an oblong dime-sized bubble in the paint by the rear window on the passenger side. That's probably a little rust starting in a typical area, and if the car doesn't sell I'll get that addresses professionally.
The wheels are in great shape; no major curb rash but not perfect. The matching Michelin Pilot tires are almost new. I don't know the age of the current brake disks and pads, but they work great and replacement StopTech pads come with the car.
The car being stored at a shop that would be an convenient PPI source. It has a clean carfax, emissions and registration are current, and the title is clear and in-hand.
Here are the maintenance items performed in the past 6 months / 1000 miles: rebuilt steering rack with new boot, new sway bar links and bushings, front and rear hood shocks, oil drain plug seal ring, camshaft oil seal, cam housing o-ring, power steering belt, air filter, C.V. boot, both front strut assemblies, both oil filters and Mobil 1 15-50, four wheel alignment, professional detail. I have the receipt for this work from TPWS in Austin, TX.
The '96 Porsche 993 C4 is the fastest naturally aspirated air cooled 911 ever sent to the US. Why? Well, it has the turbo's limited slip diff, viscous coupling all wheel drive system and 4-channel ABS brakes. It has the same M64.23 Varioram intake, 285 horse, 3.6 liter and 6 speed manual as in the C4S, but it's lighter and more aerodynamic. A C4 weighs 109lbs more than a C2 according to the stats in the manual.
Only 412 C4's were made for the US in '96 and '97 (the Varioram cars), but this is more rare still. This is a hard-back sport seat (M373/374 option code), M030 sport chassis, M159 engine sound car.

Yeah, all those two wheel drive 993 turbos are super quick. Oh wait, there aren't any.
"Porsche departed from the 964's setup consisting of three differentials and revised the system based on the layout from its 959 supercar, replacing the centre differential with a viscous coupling unit. In conjunction with the 993's redesigned and recalibrated suspension, this system improved handling characteristics and still retained the stability offered by AWD without having to suffer compromises in understeer. Its simpler layout also reduced the system's weight." - Wikipedia, so it must be true.

The GT2 wasn't 2wd because fast, it was 2wd because of racing series rules. At that time awd was banned because IT WON ALL THE RACES.
I've read lots of RL threads on the subject and I know that 4 = slow is a common perception here. If you can tell the difference between a 3064lb Carrera and a 3175lb Carrera 4 and you don't benefit from 4-chan ABS, an LSD and more traction, then you're right. NB's are lighter and more aero than WB's and C4's have more track go-fast equipment than C2's, but the owners of the 7000 993 C2's are always going to drown out the owners of the 950 993 C4's. So be it.

Okay folks, let's all settle down and stay focused on what's most important, finding this car its new owner at an appropriate price (which is apparently somewhere south of $46,500.)
