Very, very nice 968. Rare 6-sp. coupe. Guards red w/ camel interior. Garage kept. Suspension came off of my 64K mile 89 Turbo S, so it is a 944 Turbo M030 (shocks, struts, springs, sways, and torsion bars). Otherwise stock, and I DO still have the original wheels for it. The car has been DE'd a few times. If that is your thing, it does have eyebolts and other provisions to facilitate putting in a 6 point easily.

I have a large file of service records from about 50,000 miles on, with info from the prior few owners. Water pump changed a little over 50,000 miles. Timing belts and all rollers, idlers, etc. changed around that time, and the belts were changed again at about 72K miles. Converted to R134A recently. All fresh Millers Motorsports fluids (engine and gear oil, brake fluid). I've owned it for a couple of years, and have been getting into top shape. Southern car, only driven a few thousand miles per year. Sold new in FL, moved to GA a few years ago, then I bought it to TN two years ago.

Reason I'm selling is that I bought this car while my wife's was having about $15K worth of hail damage repaired, and rather than rent a car for 2 months, I just bought this one. I expected to turn it right away, but just never brought myself up for doing it, but it is about time.

Car can be seen any time in Knoxville, either at my house or I can bring it to our shop, which is with Racer's Edge. If you call here, ask for Harry.

Damn!!! That's a great 968. Very tempted to drive the 16 hours to grab it. You won't need good luck with this sale so I won't even say it.

I would drive up to Knoxville and take it off your hands but getting that close to Neyland stadium makes me nauseous. ;-)

Thanks for all the kind words. Got your PM Michael, but I'm quite confident the deal is solid.

And Jaye, Neyland isn't really any worse than a bad construction zone. You know that's why UT is orange - so the fans can go from teh deer stands to the DOT work site to the game wihtout ever changing clothes. That said, maybe you are referring to THIS weekend, when the fleabit Dwags are visiting. I'm a Georgia Tech fan.

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. I now have a couple of "if the deal falls through" offers, as well as another of substantially above the asking price. I'll try to answer each PM individually, but I'll go ahead and post this up, too.

I sincerely appreciate the offers, I didn't expect that from the price I had listed, I guess I underestimated demand. Regardless, just want to let everyone know that the car is "pending" sale because the gentleman with whom I have an agreement was in Disneyland with his kids, and at an hour before banks closed over here, wasn't going to be able to wire over the money right away (he wanted ot try to see if I could take a credit card). I believe he is good, and intend to honor our agreement.

I'm going to close this thread for now. If something happens, I'll open it back up and get back with those who have already been in touch with me. But since I've gotten a lot of private correspondence, I thought I'd let folks know what is going on.
