The first 4 pictures show the car prior to my ownership, they are essentially the “before” pics.

This 1967 L79 Coupe is a numbers matching 2012 Arizona NCRS Regional Top Flight winner and has undergone a nut and bolt frame off restoration that was completed in March of 2012. The no expense spared restoration was performed by Thomas Kumisca of TKO restorations in Tucson, AZ. For those that might not be familiar with his work he spends his spare time as an NCRS Master Judge and is more than familiar with the C2 Corvette.

This is a 3 owner car with the first owner having had the car from 1967-1972, the second owner, a founding NCRS member owned the car from 1972 until I acquired it in January of 2007. My objective when buying the car was to find an example that would make a good candidate for a complete restoration, and to take it through the NCRS process.

For those already familiar with the NCRS process, the scoring numbers for each category are listed below:

Operations: 748 out of a possible 750
Interior: 758 out of a possible 758
Exterior: 969 out of a possible 1020
Mechanical: 1166 out of a possible 1240
Chassis: 672 out of a possible 700

Total points: 4308 out of a possible 4510. The car scored a 95.7 percent to earn its Top Flight award.

It was my preference to leave many original items on the car vs. replacing them with reproduction parts because I firmly believe that something is only original once. The judging process allows points for both originality and condition and this car retains many original interior parts to include door panels, seats, fixtures etc. The exterior has been refinished to an extremely high quality with modern finishes yet it retains the proper 1967 “look” in all respects. The chassis on the car is almost perfect with the only errors being very easily fixable and at little to no cost. There are still quite a few “cheap” points to be had to bring the car further up the NCRS ladder if someone chooses to do so.

At this time I am not interested in trades of any kind, nor am I looking for help in selling this car so NO AGENTS!

Beautiful, we have a 1970 LT1 convertible but I've always had a soft spot for 67 coupes.

Thought this should make its way back to the top. A little bit flexible on price but still needs to start with a 6, I've seen the cars at the various auctions, ads, etc. and I know what I've got.
