Last (and best) year of the 944 Turbo, the 944 Turbo S. If you aren’t familiar with the Turbo S, here’s a site with some details.

Quick summary of the differences from the standard 944 Turbo

More powerful engine with 250 hp and 250 lb•ft torque (standard 944 Turbo 217 hp and 243 lb•ft) mainly due to the larger K26 turbo
"M030" suspension package
Transmission featured a higher friction clutch disc setup with hardened first & second gears
Front brakes were borrowed from the Porsche 928 S4, with larger 4-piston fixed calipers and 12" inch discs
Limited slip differential and ABS came standard.

This car started its life in Texas where it lived til 2004. It had a short stay in Kansas, and then was brought to IL in 2005. I became the 4th owner when I bought it in 2008. Addition of 2 kids to the family has stifled use of this car, so putting it up for sale.

I have stack of receipts back to original owner including major updates since 93k miles (over $12k in last 9k miles including head, valves, water pump, alternator, belts, rollers, bearings, hoses, & motor mounts). Car is Guards Red exterior over linen interior with 102k miles. Stock engine. No dash cracks, clock works. Upgrades include:

Borla exhaust (Stock exhaust included).
Recaro SPG-XL seats with Sparco harnesses and Brey-Krause harness bar. (Also have stock seats).
3 sets of rims - Sitting on 17” Fikse FM-10’s with BFG g-Force R1 tires. Also have set of 17” Turbo twist rims with Yokahama ES100 tires with ~7/32 tread and the original Club Sport wheels.
