I think this 993 is due for a top end job. Hope it finds a good home.

EMBPilot: So I went back to check the hood and it lines up perfectly...my camera is playing tricks on me.. I can take more pics if someone is interested.

harri6: Why would you say that it needs a top end job?... is it because of the hood?

So I'm not getting much interest, I guess I'll put the wife in the garage and spend some time with the car and get it all fixed.

Does anyone have a durametric that I can buy or rent?

What you guys think I can get for the car once all the issues are fixed, 90K service and a PPI.

Thanks

I would think once everything is gone through, it'd be in the $30k-$32k range. The only thing to make it a hard sell is the Tiptronic.

Just a little advice... You might generate more interest if it seemed like you really wanted to sell it. Not being able to take the car anywhere, only having certain times to show it, and don't make me an offer come off a little abrasive for a buyer. Im not in the market to buy currently, but I think it would go a long way in generating interest. Typically this group on reenlist does its due diligence and even a low enough price won't make a difference. I hope I didn't offend anyone, but i wish you the best of luck moving forward.

+993 on the this ^^^. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Seller, are you surprised you're not getting no interest?

Abrasive/inflexible seller + abused/neglected car = your 993 continues to be a lawn ornament.

People will assume from the way your ad is composed that the condition of the car is also the condition of the seller.

When you get real about selling, you'll get some real buyers.

Good luck with your sale.

Thanks for conceding RL is more worthy than CL Biggest issue is the tip and ragtop. Both less sought after, although there is a market for both. Agreed with above pricing, 30-32 with everything gone thru. And they are gonna want a decent ppi for that. If it is in need of topend. There is a close to 10k (depending on the while we are in here factor). So 20k as is is not quite the bargain it could seem. I'd try and get it running. And clear the check engine lights. Check engine lights freak out buyers. Especially buyers like me that have been canvasing these boards for months before buying

I think what Harri 6 is saying is the light can indicate the car is due for a top end rebuild. The 96's were known for valve guide problems. Having owned a '96 the check engine light would bother me .
