This car is a real head turner with those classic hard fender lines and the low, aggressive stance. It looks like it’s running while standing still. I am the fourth owner of this car after my father who was the third. I’ve owned it for 14 years and have gone to great lengths to keep this car looking and performing very well. It is a shame that I am parting with it but alas, a new baby and a new business have me looking at my current needs. I’d love for this car to find a new owner who cares for it as much as I have and enjoys the thrill of owning a turbo Porsche.

The car has nearly all of the maintenance work you could ask for already completed within the last 20k miles or so and needs nothing to drive it on home. It has never seen the snow and has zero rust. The car received a full body restoration 6 years ago after a minor fender dent in a parking lot and is looking quite fantastic. The suspension has been upgraded to a ‘Sport Street’ setup and is incredibly balanced. It doesn’t matter if you are coming into a turn too fast, the 50/50 weight balance will give you all the confidence you need to scrub the speed to a reasonable level and power out of the turn with the full 15 psi of boost at your tail. The engine performance has been increased with a mapped computer chip set which increases the boost pressure to 15psi and maps the air/fuel ratio accordingly.
The car features modifications which seek to enhance the already superb design work that Porsche already provided. High level details are below:
Suspension
o Koni Yellow Sport Shocks (F&R)
o 275# coilovers (F)
o 28mm Torsion Bars (R)
Engine
o Computer Chipset (15PSI)
o Tial 38mm Wastegate
o Blow Off Valve
o Manual boost controller
o Catalytic Converter was gutted
o Vacuum line upgrade
Body
o Full restoration (2010)
o AIR front splitter
o GT Racing fiberglass rear bumper
o New windshield (Factory)
o Door gaskets, sunroof gaskets, wiper blades,…most gaskets.
Brakes
o Drilled/Slotted front rotors
o Pads (F): Carbo-Tech ‘Bobcat’ *These ended up being too light duty for aggressive driving.
Interior
o Seats recovered (Black Vinyl – holds you in well)
o Black carpet kit installed
o Lloyd floor mats
o A-Pillar gauges Boost & A/F (*A/F is not connected)
o Rear Seats removed and custom seat delete with 10” sub enclosure added
o Black carpet kit installed
o 4-point Roll bar
o Sparco Shift ****
o Re-upholstered arm rest & shift boot
The maintenance is up-to-date and the car should be ready to drive without needing to tinker on it. I’ve done my best over the years to take care of issues prior to them occurring. The list is long and I’ve included a PDF file with all of the details totaling over $16,000. Basics are below:
Engine
o Timing/Balance Shaft/Accessory belts, rollers, Idler pulleys
o Waterpump, thermostats
o Head gasket
o Vacuum lines
o Spark plugs/Coil/Wires
o Fuel Pump, filter, hoses, SS fuel lines (most)
o Lots of chromed and powder coated bits
o So much more...
Driveline
o Cup Clutch Upgrade
o Short Shift Kit (@ transmission and shift lever)
o Redline MT-90 transmission fluid
o Tires @ 118,000 (225/245 stagger)
o Front rotors/pads
o Clutch Slave Cylinder
Suspension
o Shocks
o Springs/Torsion Bars
o Tie Rods
o Upgraded Ball joints
o Steering rack bushings
Misc.
o Rear wiper motor delete
o Window washer tank and motor delete
o Idle Stabilizer delete (idle stabilizes after 30 seconds of cold start)
o Dash cluster professionally repaired (odometer (fixed right away), tripometer, a few bulbs)
As with any car that we grew up looking at on posters, there are a few items that a new owner could decide to work on, all of which are minor and are not necessary:
o Passenger door lock (lock cylinder doesn’t match car key)
o Power mirrors (these used to work prior to the restoration. Probably a minor wiring issue)
o Fuse 28 short (I have not tried in years, but this fuse may have a short which means no interior light/cigarette lighter)
o Dash cracks (A few of them like 90% of all 944’s. See photos)
o Dash browning (I must have used some product one day that browned the top portions of some of the tan dash pieces. See photos)
o Roll bar needs front 2 bars welded to chassis still
o Sunroof removal (Currently arms not retracting to remove sunroof. I think this might be because of the key I’m using. Previous key which is now lost worked fine. Sunroof operates up/down without issue)
o Door cards (I removed the map pockets as they were creaky while driving. Still have them. Pictures)
o Cruise Control motor needs to be replaced.
If you have interest in the car and have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I know this car quite well and should be able to ensure a smooth transition to the new owner. I have the majority of the receipts from the time of my ownership and will pass those on to the new owner.
I can be available to help with transportation of the car as well if needed. Thanks for your interest. (Cash only, No trades. Would take land in a beautiful scenic area however!)

Ready to sell it again after the previous sale didn't complete since buyer didn't sell his car yet. Who's interested in a great 944 turbo?
