Trailer survey
So we're (obviously) new around here as a forum sponsor and vendor, and Ed and I are always looking for ways to not only sell more trailers, but improve our customer experience and ensure we're doing the right things. Since this is the nexus of most of the trailer related talk on the forum, I wanted to post a short survey and ask you guys for some feedback regarding your trailers.
Responses are greatly appreciated!
1. Do you use an open or enclosed trailer?
2. What do you typically haul on/in your trailer? (car, equipment, etc.)
3. Is your trailer steel or aluminum frame? Why?
4. What manufacturer did you choose for your trailer? Why?
5. If you purchased new, what factors did you consider when choosing the dealer you purchased from?
6. Would you purchase your next trailer from a dealer who is physically further away from you if they provided high value benefits to you as a customer? How far would you travel?
7. If provided, would you attend monthly clinics/"tech talks" on trailer maintenance, new products/accessories, and other aspects of towing?
Again, any responses are greatly appreciated and will help us provide the best possible service both to the community and our customers.
Thanks!

1. Open
2. Car, 8 wheels/tires and fuel jugs
3. Aluminum - I initially towed with a VW Touareg and was looking for a lighter weight trailer
4. R&R Trailers - proximity and cost
5. I purchased new - seemed to be the biggest bang for the buck
6. Proximity to me is not high on my list. Features, value, reliability, high construction standards, cost are much higher on my list
7. Probably not, but I would look over emailed material.

2. Spec Boxster, extra set of wheels/tires, tool set, 4 fuel jugs, chairs, helmets/HANS etc.
3. Aluminum, for weight consideration
4. ATC because of the dealer I found on the web who carried it, plus web
research
5. Finding a dealer on the web who had delivery available
6. Sure, in fact I purchased from a dealer in FL and I live in NY so in a sense I already did that.
7. Definitely

2. Car, 2 sets of wheels/tires, pit cart, tools, generators, table, chairs,
etc.
3. Aluminum, less weight
4. ATC, available options/features
5. New. Experience with car haulers, customer service
6. Purchased trailer from dealer in another state and picked up from
manufacturer. Having dealer close would be preferred for warranty
and maintenance, but not required.
7. Sure, but closest ATC dealer is not "wired" that way. One of the
reasons I didn't buy from them. Video taping the clinics would be
a great alternative to those of us that aren't close enough to attend.
