HELP!!! Featherlight Open-Trailer Tire Rack
Anyone have a factory Featherlight Tire Rack, and willing to measure a few dimensions? It would be a GREAT help. I'm having no luck getting one from the factory and local aluminum fabricators want a fortune to build one ($1,500). The design is so simple, but fabricators want exact dimensions. I don't have one I can measure. Can anyone help?
(A) What is this width?
(B) What size aluminum is this? 2" x 2"?
(C) What are the dimensions of this piece? Is it welded to the top of a "B" cross-bar? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Wont the TrailerX tire rack bolt to the Featherlite? I am pretty sure I have seen people do that before.

I don't have a Featherlite to measure for you, but most of those dimensions are not critical and would work within a range. If I were building this, I'd go with A being 24", B being 2x2x1/8 aluminum tube, and C welded to the cross piece between B - it is not really load bearing, it just needs to hold the tube from a security perspective.

If you go with the Trailex rack it will be height adjustable (both the rack height and center bar height can be adjusted independently). Looks like the Featherlight one is not height adjustable and the bar height can only be adjusted in relatively wide increments. Someone correct me if that is not the case.

Using dbbarron's measurements, my trailer guy came up with this for half the price of a Featherlite tire rack. I'm very pleased.
