Default My Porsche App Issue

The app is not communicating with the car for the last 3 days. Trying to charge in my garage or pre-cool I get an error message ‘Something went wrong: This function is currently unavailable. Please try again later.’ Any ideas what it could be? Had the car to the dealer for a couple recalls last week.

charging hasn't worked for me for months - Porsche, software, apps, cloud - yeah not their thing.

sometimes working with 1-800-Porsche they can reset something that makes it work for a while again - but that's hit or miss

I'm unsurprised by this status.

I had issues with connect to charge a while back. Required a pcm reset then it was fine.

Same. I disconnected the negative battery cable, reconnected. I waited 30 min... not sure if this is relevant.

Bada-boom, bada-bing, started working again after a bit.

Mine is temperamental as well. Wish we had something like the Tesla app, it's soo good.

Logged in the other day and it worked. Evidently according to the dealer, they had a server issue.

I've had this happen a few times, it seems to resolve itself after a day or two.

This is what I've seen:
--on the PCM the LTE symbol will have dash marks with a line - this is the car not communicating with the server
--I've also had some cases where the car IS online (ie LTE) and seems to be working fine with online services - but the app can't communicate - for example to set a charge timer

It seems to 'mostly work. But it's not seamless.

I also had LTE connection issue a couple of times.
When I called a dealership for this issue, this was a response from the service manager and was told there is nothing that they can do now.
' As far as the LTE issue, Porsche is having a backend issue with software that they are aware of and hopefully will get it squared away soon.'
I've sent a couple of emails to PCNA to confirm it, but I didn't get any response. typical customer service I now expect from Porsche.
When I sent email to a few of Porsche's executives for other issue, they had someone replied to me right away, which I think still is a waste of time.
LTE on my car came back on after 10 days and it seems fine now.
I just don't understand that when I've never had any LTE issue on my 5 year old Cayenne, but they can't even figure out what's the problem on a year old Taycan.
It shouldn't be a rocket science, but I think they have a no clue.
Also, I went to dealership twice for charging cable recall, but it's still not done, not that I need.
First time, they had no part available even after they confirmed availability.
Second time, I was told that there is stop sale on the campaign with new cable, and part is no longer available.
It's unbelievable that Porsche can't even make a simple EV charger when you can find countless different chargers on Amazon,
I am sure that many here will disagree with me, but I think Porsche is not a great brand anymore.

My 2020 Taycan Turbo had the LTE connection several times. The car would switch to some transport mode that was a "simple fix" but it was a pain to diagnose. Porsche was terrible on the technical support side to come up with a solution and the issue was not resolved when I returned the car at the end of my lease. My 2023 Panamera has not had the issue to date.

It sounds like a frustrating situation! If the app isn’t communicating with the car and you're getting that error message, it could be related to a software issue, especially after the recalls, so just try to check your connectivity, restart the app and reset the cars systems
