Recall time again
Ok car is back at the dealer. This has been a very reliable car for me. I only had 1 issue, the alarm sensor when I first got it. Everything else has been proactive recalls…
Lets see this trip, since they couldn’t get parts when I had it there in January for the rear antenna harness:
—antenna harness WNK7
—heater replacement (mine works fine) WPL8
—Some battery module thing ARA4
—the charger cable but he didn’t think they could perform that one, which is fine. I got my $600 from porsche and never used the mobile connect thing anyway APB6

Car is back. They also replaced my driver front indicator which had water ingress.
COMPLETE —antenna harness WNK7
COMPLETE —heater replacement (mine works fine) WPL8
NO REPAIR PROCESS YET —Some battery module thing ARA4
PARTS NOT AVAILABLE—the charger cable but he didn’t think they could perform that one, which is fine. I got my $600 from porsche and never used the mobile connect thing anyway APB6
The ARA4 and there is another one maybe ARA5? These are battery fire / module issues. Supposedly letters going out this month. ARA4 = your car has been identified as likely to have a bad module.

Recalls might not be a bad thing if the reason is because the company is being proactive and also not hiding faults from the customers. Perhaps some other companies out there aren’t doing them and want to roll the dice. I’m not sure this is the case, but I wonder.
The following website can show you your recalls, but for some unknown reason to see all of them must then select Learn more..., scroll down, click recall tab.

It's a minor annoyance for me - nothing has ever broken beyond the silly overactive alarm. I get a Macan for a few days, drive that around (and my kids enjoy something different) and then I'm so happy when I get my Tacyan back, as it's such a superior driving experience to the Macan (which is fine, for what it is, but not something I'd go out of my way to drive just for fun).

Projected? how about actual? WTF AI bs article is this. RL sucks. Terrible.
Got ARA4 notice in mail. "your car may burst into flames because it has a ****ty battery cell, don't charge over 80%, but don't call us, we'll call you to fix it... someday"

I just had the heater recall done without issue. I also have the ARA4 for my VIN but still no repair available. Porsche's flippant "don't charge past 80%" with no repair timeline is frustrating to say the least.
