Taycan Turbo GT
besides, tycan doesnt even have the single advantage that ev has over ice, one pedal driving. much rather have that in my ev than nring record.
By far the best looking EV on the market for sure. Can't wait to see what companies are releasing aftermarket add ons for this platform.

thing about this gt is no matter how much power and tech, its still a very heavy ev. so even if its the best of breed, imo its like paying $100 for the worlds best shoelace. who cares, its still just a shoelace.

People don't understand that this is simply advancing the technological ball. The weight will come down as the technology improves. And, unlike an ICE vehicle, you can actually get the weight down (in time) through changes in the battery technology - whereas engines will aways be pretty damned heavy because iron is always going to be heavy. Yes, it's heavy now. Yes, also this thing has gotten exponentially better in a very, very short timer relative to advances in ICE technology.
But you don't get to lighter and longer and more durable without taking technological steps along the way.
Also, one pedal driving is pretty dumb in my view, and i can't say a day has gone by with my Taycan where I missed the one pedal experience with a Tesla. EVs have lots of advantages over ICE machines outside of environmental concerns - cheaper and more efficient use of energy, no gas station trips if you charge at home, fewer moving parts = lower service needs/costs in the long run, quieter, instant torque for passing, lower center of gravity generally, etc. - but I don't view one pedal driving as being one of them.

If the two pedal driving can achieve the same result that I love - the smoothness in transition from acceleration, coasting, braking - then I’d say two pedals is great.
agree one pedal driving one of the great things about EV and regen

FWIW, one of the things I really enjoy about 9J1.1 is having a button on my steering wheel to switch between regen and not. The ability to have the Taycan coast is, in some cases, more suited to the efficient use of energy/momentum vs. immediately flipping into regen.
I've had a Model S before - I don't personally love 1-pedal, but get why many do. It's good to have choices.

The active ride, attack mode and 2 speed gearbox were the main draws for me. It’ll be more engaging and handle better than my Plaid which I intend to keep for daily commuting (mostly highway). Never thought I’d consider a weekend EV yet here I am….
