We just pick up our 2023 Taycan GTS, 6 miles on odometer, 100% charged at dealer, range shows 202 miles....
Assuming this range will increase when we drive it more? I'll be real pissed if our 2023 GTS only get 200 miles per charge down the road. We also tried the "Range Mode", it will limit speed to 60 MPH only.

the in car display is a "guess" based on recent driving history - long time EV owner's call them "guess-o-meters" - actual range can not be predicted due to highly variable "future" driving condtions - but past history is normally pretty good.
since owning my Taycan Turbo starting in July of 2020 I've found the vehicle to reliably be 180-270 mile range vehicle based on ambient weather conditions and mix of driving speed and types of terrain - you will take a 20-30% hit on range once ambient temps are below 40F but you'll get it back when the weather returns in spring to more favorable conditions…
on my recent 2022 Oct. trip of approximate ~2500 miles in Ca, Or, Wa I found the Taycan w/21 Mission e Wheels w/Goodyear summer tires to be stubbornly a 230 mile vehicle -meaning you're stopping to charge based on charger location anywhere from 190-210 miles of actual driving range.
Just yesterday I replaced the worn out (and amost failed) good year summer tires with factory OEM Contenential All Season tires the car orginally came with - and in my early experience resulted in easy stints of 240-260 spring time miles - but a lot has changed since then - so I'll be looking foward to data that can see if I can get back close to my Spring/Summer 2020 range numbers…
I value the extra range more than the minor incremental grip afforded by the summer tire - I'd really really rather drive an extra 20-40 miles vs. have 0.2 g's incremental grip at the limits…
also in the 90 minutes I was in the car post tire change the ride quality seems improved - but that may be confirmation bias - time will tell.
the most accurate way to evaluate range in a Taycan is to enter a destination into the PCM navigation and let teh vehicle estimate your battery at your destination - I've found in 30,000 miles and that the PCM navigation estimates are very very reliable - as they anticipate elevation and speed related consumption (if it's super cold 35F or less out I'd mentially budget a 15% buffer until I had personal experience with the PCM navigation and seeing how accurate the estimated battery % is in practice).
but my experience in the western us (Ca, Or, Wa, Nv) spring/summer/fall weather that you can trust the PCM navigation estimate +/- 5% - and if you monitor it during your trip you will see if you're gaining or losing battery at your destination and adjust your plans…but most of the time I arrive at the destination almost spot on from the original estimate +/- 1-2% - impact of speed is readily apparent if you're monitoring this value in the PCM navigation
what I can say is if the PCM nav says you're arriving at -17% you're not making it to that destination without a charging stop along the way.
don't trust the guess-o-meter
Taycan is a sub 200 mile vehicle in cold weather
you can trust the PCM navigation estimate pretty well in spring/summer/fall - I'd love any feed back from our winter friends as to the PCM nav's accuracy in cold conditions
speed is the range killer - if you need to extended your range you MUST drive slower - that's a fact - or stop to charge more frequently
but basically the in car range estimate @ 85% charge or on the center dash I treat as a random number generator - the only meaningful data is recent experience and the PCM navigation estimate.
I hope this helps.
