It was a fun four weeks
It was a fun four weeks marveling this pristine car. Each day my wife and I fought for who got to drive it and managed to rack up 1700 miles in very short order.
Unfortunately she hit a deer on Friday night on the highway. Everybody is fine, except for the deer but screw that guy. Somehow no airbags deployed and mechanically the car still drives fine (outside of the endless lighting warnings).
Will be very interesting to see what the repair process looks like in these strange supply times. It’s the first time I’ve had a vehicle involved in a collision and didn’t wish for a total loss. We want this car back
Note: that's not mud on the door, lol

I'm so sorry to see that.
It happens to so many of us. We celebrated receiving our new 2014 911 Turbo S with a tour around B&Bs in the state. I brought the car back home having hit TWO deer in 1500 miles. Both T-boned the car, running into it instead of me hitting them with the front of the car. How to you evade a deer coming from the side? Took thousands to straighten out the car... and it was just a month old.
I still have and love it though. Keep a high standard for the repairs and all will be well.

My friend’s Mercedes SUV was in the shop for 2.5 months waiting on parts and repairs. The hardest part was that his insurance company didn’t cover more than 30 days for a car rental and car rental costs went sky high in 2021.
Just be glad you are all safe and it could be worse, like 2020 A.D. or 536 A.D.

1.) Nobody will even touch it
2.) Can't get an appointment to even get the process started until april or may.
So this is going to be a fun time

Does your insurances have any obligation to get you back into a seat within a reasonable time vs totaling it. I assume that's part of the 30 days of rental which was previously mentioned standard....Sorry for your luck. Hopefully a shop comes through soon.

Tried that route, they're completely non-responsive.
Apparently covid made people wreck cars more or something.

If it were me, I would have it trailered to a shop on the East coast that could get you going soon. I would insist on the insurance company providing the reimbursement for the cost. My shop in NJ would surely accommodate you. It is a PCC and I have had numerous dealings with them. They have repaired my Taycan, GT3 and 911's.
