World's population had been waiting for something more luxurious and premium in the EV market above the Model S. They finally have that in the Taycan. Right now, Porsche own that segment. Audi just start selling their version and it slot just below the Taycans.
Mercedes' EQS is still a bit away to join the party, so until then, it's still Porsche's own segment.

Fact is, there is no other EV that works properly as a car; not without the supercharger network. Other marques are a couple years behind. Let's see if Elon comes through with throwing the others a lifeline.

I was only referring to the very unlikely possibility of a shareholder lawsuit if Blume's math was little optimistic. If you read back a few posts you might understand how these accusation of false sales numbers started. Some folks think Blume is lying.

There's a pretty broad chasm between "lying" and "make it seem like they're selling better". The latter is achievable with spin.

Fiat-Chrysler had to pay up big. https://www.industryweek.com/leaders...eporting-fraud

Legally there isn't. It's a public company. Any public sale figure statements made by the CEO, or any top executives, have to be accurate by law. There is no spin in a courtroom.

It's a business. They all do whatever's necessary, including spinning facts, to maximize shareholder value. If you're not pushing the envelope, you're not doing your job. Every now and then you push too hard and get burnt. Anyway, we're well off topic at this point. Cheers.

You're not? I mean you're reaching when you make stupid comments like this "I maintain that porsche is trying really hard to make it seem like these are selling better than they are" with zero basis for it. But it seems to be the American way these days, right? When in doubt, just make **** up.

As other have written who are actually looking to buy a Taycan right now many of those listed cars are sold or in a very undesirable spec.

This thread is dumb. The official Q2 earnings report shows the taycan outselling the 911 both quarterly and y2d, and almost half the Cayenne sales. You think Porsche filed a fake earnings report ? Ha ha ha ha ha. Horse poison cures viruses too!
Who gives a **** ? Porsche is making serious money on the taycan to keep bank rolling GT cars. We all win. I mean, generously assuming we all here are even Porsche owners.
