I really hope the 981 body style ages as well as the 987 has.

There isn't anything red about Zanzibar Red. I don't know how Porsche came up with that name. It never looks red under any light. This car is a soft orange color, much better looking to me than a 2010 car I ordered in this color. There are evidently two slightly different variants of ZR (maybe 2 different color codes?), and the other one looks like burnt orange under late afternoon light, but in noonday light the orange is harsh. The variant on this car isn't that way, much better IMO.
I love the car! I got the Burmeister sound system (for my wife), but it was a waste of money. I never turn it on, just want to listen to that wonderful exhaust note.

Not a beautiful picture, but definitely a Spyder in the wild moment...

Just came home from monterey car week, had An amazing time. Fiance and I were able to get a week's worth of luggage in the car, AND 3 bags of groceries when we arrived back home in San Francisco. If this car isn't amazing.. I don't know what is.

Way back in the early '70's my dad and I would take either my '71 914 or his '71 914 to races all over the midwest (RA being our favourite obviously) and would take everything we needed to camp including a 9X16' tent, sleeping bags, cooler etc. My dad was an excellent packer, but it was amazing what you could put in the F & R trunks and still get the top off!! People next to us at the campsite couldn't believe it...
Spyder is my new "914"...

Is there any more welcoming sight than this on a dark night?

And here's the fuel stop!
