Let's post up pics of how we are using or Spyders now that many of us have received them. I'll start...
Today my fiancée and I I joined up with some Porsche buddies to drive the coast heading north from San Francisco... The Spyder got major kudos for sound and looks.. Luckily I didn't give those turbo drivers a drive or I wouldn't have gotten her back.
This car is sublime in the twisties. Power is adequate, but handling, steering response, suspension compliance, and noise are fantastic. Steering feel a bit less so.. But overall a perfect driver's cAr for the road. The California coast is MADE for the Spyder.. Or the Spyder is made for the coast... Not sure. Anyway... Bliss!!! 70 and sunny.. Top down from 8am to 8pm tonight.

Not sure if there is a single place in Switzerland that could be considered wild
But ready to put some more miles on this car (too fun not to drive it even to the supermarket).

Had a chance to take a friend for a drive with my cars. We swapped cars and I have to say that the Spyder is just such an amazing road car and so much fun to drive. The GT3 is incredible also. They are so different but yet both are so much fun and really enjoyable to drive.

Stop - I think that I am getting car-sick, where is the paper bag? ..... More than 15 years ago, we spent four weeks driving all over North and South Islands .... in a rental Toyota Echo .... it was wonderful (the driving, not the car). I can't even imagine what it would be like transiting those same roads in a Spyder. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the Southern Alps, we came across a pack of 8 Sunbeam "Alpine" Tigers having a go. That memory still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stir. Probably can't drive like that anymore.
17 road trips and over 25,000 kms with not one single incident in the group. The speed limit is 100/hr on that road. We choose our time and areas to have fun. Generally first thing in the day with as few gates/driveways on the route. We also use RTs so anything the lead drive sees is instantly relayed. We have to be particularly careful with hawks feasting on the previous nights road kill. They are so sure of themselves that they just sit on the animal. You don’t want to hit one.
