PSE with Cargraphic 200 cat cell headers are my perfect sound setup. Still quiet enough almost stock sound when closed. You can have a normal conversation or talk on the phone with Bluetooth. When opened up it sounds fantastic.
I had a Speedart on my old 06 CS it sounded good but got old and droned at highway speeds.

All great info here..Thanks. Sounds like there are a number of different options. I'll look around for a PSE for a bit, if I can't find one reasonably, maybe I'll just go the Cantrell route.

Not exactly apples to apples but I had a Cayman R exhaust (non-PSE but with the bigger diameter pipes compared to base/S) modified by Cantrell Motorsports and installed on base 987.2 Cayman, sounded great to me compared to stock.

Below couple videos I took.

Mine has PSE and even though it sounds good it is on the very quiet side for my taste. I have a 997.2RS with a sharkwerks center muffler bypass which is about twice as loud. The stock 981 Spyder also is significantly louder over the 987PSE. I am curious what the PSE sounds like in combination with the Cargraphic 200 cat cell headers as mentioned by Cman21. I've been looking for mods to get more sound out of the PSE.

+1, I am also curious about the headers and 200 cell cats. I'm more curious if I'll have any issues getting the car smogged in CA if I change the headers.

My wife is really not going to like you now. I have to hear your car with the headers sometime soon.

Btw, she and I both love the PSE. Thanks for selling it to me

LOL on the wife part !

I'll see if I can get some sound clips done and post them hear.

I'll also be going to the PCA Club Race at Road Atlanta April 1-3 most likley on Saturday to watch the GT4 Clubsport race. Maybe we can meet there if you like.

I have had a Tubi on my Spyder for over five years and it has been great.

So to be clear, the PSE system I would need to find is for the 987.2 cars, regardless of version? What about a Cayman PSE or Cayman R PSE, are these all the same exhausts? Thanks

Check with Suncoast on the PSE options ( no affiliation) the Cayman / Boxster and S models also the Boxster Spyder are the same exhaust system. Cayman R unit has 5mm larger down pipes from the headers to the mufflers and has a different part number.

Congratulations, xpensivewino! Great choice. How do those buckets look after a few years of use? If possible you could post some pictures. Do you like the way they have worn, so far?

The LWB are really awesome. My GT3 had the manual regular hard backs, but I think the LWB are so much better for my tastes. The previous owners took very good care of the car, so it's hard to say if all seats would wear like this set, but these have nearly no signs of wear. A tiny bit on the drivers lower bolster as you would expect, and that's with 43k miles on the clock. I'll try to post some pictures later on...Cheers
