Question for those who have put on the GT4 style side scoops- can you do it without drilling holes????

Yes you can do without drilling holes into the rocker.
-The 2 long screws and thick tape secure the GT4 intake to the black intake inner ring. The black ring is very tightly secured to the rocker.
-BUT you must take the rocker off to get the black ring off (its hard to get the ring off because of small tight clips) This tight fit makes it Not necessary to drill the additional screws into the rocker.
- So using the 2 screws and the supplied tape without drilling into the rocker works. You can even add a 3rd screw if you need to. It would be very tough for a person or wind to rip it off.
-I would not just use tape and no screws
Just my opinion though

Okay! Today we tried at my dealership to fit GT4 wheels on my Spyder. They had a GT4 in the showroom and I asked to try and see how they fit.
In the back the fit is perfect despite the offset difference. In the front I will need 5 mm spacers to avoid any contact as the suspension coil is wider on the Spyder.
So I placed the order for mat black wheels with SC2 tires in a week will do the installation and I will post pictures of the final product. Very excited especially after my first track day at COTA with the Spyder as I suspect the grip is going to be even soooo much better. The car stand will also be amazing. Here are pictures of the try outs

That's awesome about the GT4 wheels. Good to know as I like the design of the GT4 wheels. I am going the route of wider rubber. 245/285 Cup 2 tires. I thought I would be disappointed with the PZeros but they blew my mind. I did get a more aggressive alignment done to neutralize the understeer so that definitely helped. But 100 degree weather at Road Atlanta doing solo was a life changing experience. I would love to do COTA some day!

For the GT4 wheels, you might get a good bit more understeer with the wider tires in the rear. An adjustable sway bar setup would help mitigate some of that.
I was considering doing something similar. The car looks great!

I spent 15 days and 3500 miles driving my Boxster Spyder in Europe. The car is light, fast and top works very well. Of my 50 Porsches' over 37 years my favorite car has always been my 964 Speedster. The Boxster Spyder seems the true contemporary incarnation of that car. I've always felt that the 964 version of the Speedster is everything a Porsche should be. But you can't talk on a cell phone. The 981 Spyder is a wonderful car. At some point in the future both cars will be in the same place at the same time. It'll make a great video. If you don't have one....get one.
And the 911R? Well I've refrained from speaking about it until the journalists drove it and published their feelings. I only had a short time to drive it. And I didn't drive it too hard. I certainly didn't want to be the headline "stupid American tourist crashes rare 911R." But my impression was that the car "dances" with you. It's pure as 964 RS. It could be the offspring of a '74 3.0 RS and a 997.2 3.8 RS. As compared to the 3.8? Not sure because I was not driving them on the same road at the same time. But I can tell you that after thinking about my test drive I thought in terms of not just one of the great 911s' but one of the great sportscars ever. It's a masterpiece.
