Bought a set of Spyder wheels from Rennlist and finally had new tires put on them and mounted up this weekend! Looks much better than the Turbo wheels that were spec'd on it originally.

Bringing this thread full circle with a few photo's of w00t's guards red spyder that I bought off him 18 months ago. He did briefly enquire about buying it back off me, but alas I have no intentions of letting this one go. It really is the sweet spot for me. I think it represents the zenith of modern day porches (along with the 997.2 GT3 and CGT) - passive dampers, manual box, hydraulic steering, diminutive size, and of course the sonorous flat 6. It never fails to bring a smile to my face, and I often find myself just staring at it in the garage. Honestly I never have been in love with red cars, but guards red has converted me. I love how light sensitive it is - sometimes appearing almost orange, other times a dark crimson. It really is an incredible machine. I used to think that the 997.2 RS was my grail car, but I'm not sure it would be as enjoyable as the spyder - at least for how I use it.
Totally agree with your comments. Having found a perfect keeper in GR and right options, all that is left is to enjoy making minor improvements where possible. Not able to use mine much due to virus so making alternative insert covers..
After an unforgettable & lovely ride curtesy of Mikey earlier this summer with Wootspyder #1 I was hooked. There were some hassles along the way but just a few more days......
