What came as a raw uncut gem to me is now polished, wrapped in clear film and protected so that it can be enjoyed on the road for years to come ..

So simple and yet so stunning! Truly a Porsche master stroke that has yet to be discovered by the masses.

Such a nice angle on the 981. Great morning drive at Hogpen Gap in North Georgia. Marvelous road!

Nice! I was just thinking we hadn’t heard from you in a while. So jelly....mine is in storage for at least three more months. I’m back in Santa Rosa in another week and they (my client) continue to ask me to move out there. The pull of 10 month driving season is strong....

I love your car and the way you take amazing pics and the way you adore it! It is inspiring!
I was starting to think about selling mine again....I'm such an idiot when it comes to buying and selling cars....now after having my 3rd one you would think I would know better...
But thankfully I have come to my senses again and decided not to sell. But it is a shame to have the car sitting for now.
I was starting to think of selling the Carrera T and the 987 Spyder and get a GT3 Touring... (like another crazy guy on Rennlist....)
But ultimately the 987 Spyder has been my favorite Porsche road car of all time (of my ownership) even more than the GT3s I have owned....but the GT3 Touring is still got a strong pull on me.
But I also can't stomach the idea of selling the Carrera T at a loss considering I really like it though and it makes a great pair with the 987 Spyder.
And I also realized I have over $80k+ into my current Spyder....it would be crazy to sell that even for the high end of the market now and then regret it and end up not finding one nearly as nice as what I have now....
and the GT3 Tourings are still overpriced at the moment in my opinion. Not sure that a even very nice PTS GT3 Touring is worth selling the Carrera T, the 987 Spyder and even the C7 Grand Sport to buy a GT3 Touring for only slightly less cash than what I could sell all 3 of those for.

Glad you and Afshin always post things at random times about how great the 987 Spyder is and help me come to my senses!
I just can't decide which car I like best - your car (white with red interior and silver wheels), Afshin's Basalt Black with silver wheels (like the first 2 I had), or my current car (white with gloss black wheels). But I think your red interior is killer!
But the way you capture the car in pictures makes it even more beautiful...
Truthfully these cars are beautiful to just look at BUT are also absolutely amazing to drive! I don't know why I would think about selling it.....

Thank you for your posts!

Matt those are some very kind words. I really appreciate it. You should have Afshin or my contact on speed dial so that every time you even remotely think of selling the spyder you send us a text. Instantly we will cyber kick your butt and talk sense into you

Thank you for the kind words. Truth is, we all debate other cars from time to time including myself. I seriously debated selling my Spyder and 964 to buy a 997.2 RS but backed out when I thought it through. Looking at the bigger picture getting that RS would have been really cool initially but in the long run it would be too much car for the type of driving I enjoy and an exercise in frustration.

Out of curiosity, what modifications have you done to the Spyder thus far?

Oh and feel free to PM me if you ever feel like chatting or being talked off the ledge.

Hahaha I guess we all have a bit of car A.D.D at times...

I have done the following to my current Spyder:
SOUL headers and Softronic tune to match (sounds amazing with the factory PSE)
Numeric Racing shifter and cables (so much better than stock shifter)
Alcantara sport steering wheel
Sony radio with car play and back up camera
Function First shift ****
Replaced the clear bra (the one on the car was yellowing) and did ceramic coating
Added second set of wheels in gloss black (originals are boxed up in storage)
Probably forgetting something else....

I will shoot you a PM...thanks.
