One of the first things I did with my Cayman R was buy some OZ wheels in 18" size.
Less expensive rubber and many more options than with a 19" size.
Plus, a fraction of the cost of the OEM wheels if one should get damaged.

I too prefer the black wheels on the Spyder-- so I picked up a set of 19" HRE CR90 wheels from a fellow RLer and had HRE re-build to spec. Can't wait to put them on in the spring. The OEM wheels will go into storage and resurface when boredom sets in...so, maybe never.

It's still pretty funny and as long as nothing "down under" got bent, way preferable to other possible track mishaps. A day may come soon when I get to Road Atlanta, I'm looking forward to that. 34 big fan of the HRE products in general, great looking wheels.

What do you guys think of these wheels with a black center? I had these on my 993 cup (center locks of course) and think that they would look good...

Either the stock size with extreme performance tires or NT01's in 245/40/18 and 275/40/18.

911 rear offsets really don't work well on a 987 without some fair sized spacers. Not my flavor, but would work great as a track wheel.

My dealer took my silver spider wheels off my car and sent them to Wheel Enhancements to paint black at no charge (part of the "deal"). I didn't want the silver barrel or lip on the factory black wheels:

I have been cruising the internet looking for a good set of used track wheels with out much luck. I was just about ready to order a set of OZ wheels when I came across a set of Champion RS98 18" wheels for sale for not much more money. You just have to be patient and persistent, 987 offsets are not all that common.

Thanks, cool looking wheels. For the cup ones, I would have them custom made so they would look just right... I'm leaning OZ right now
