Re: Jail Yeah I forgot about the car's ability to blast into triple digits like a motorcycle on four wheels.

The hardtop and daily usability of the Cayman R is what made me switch. I had a BMW 750i when i had the Spyder so it wasnt as big of a deal....but when i sold that Bimmer and JUST had the Spyder it was rough on a daily basis as my only car. But i loved how it drove so i found the closest thing to it

Default Spyder top question

Sorry to hijack the thread. Do any of you drive with the sun top only (without the snap in rear window) in the rain ? Does any rain get into the interior ? I'm thinking of trading up from my '04 S Anniversary Edition. Thanks

With the sun top only some rain will definitely get in but if its just sprinkling its not too bad. I wouldn't recommend in pouring rain.

I have driven several times in hard rain storms with Sun top only.........very little water gets in and its nothing to worry about ......... Porsche added drains on each side for any water so almost nothing gets into the interior. When I am out and rain is threatening thunder storms and etc...........I only put on the bikini top (my wife named it as such) and go back to what I am doing.

Put the top on and off is so routine and fast and Porsche has a great you tube Video that makes it easy. Don't hesistate to buy one of these cars..........these cars are great. I have them all and you can not go wrong.
