Default Adding a little attitude to my Spyder

Had the front lips painted body color, and front/side grilles & side mirrors matte black:

The difference is subtle, but I like the added contrast and am happy with the result.

you know i have been thinking about participating in the carbon side mirror group buy on P9 but I dunno now. Prolly will leave it alone. I dun think it adds or detracts visually. as for the front lip, i think it does look more integrated but aren't you afraid of scraping the lip more and frustrating yourself as a result?

I like the painted front lip, it does look integrated. But the shade of white looks a little off which makes it look aftermarket IMHO. Can you ask your body shop to respray it at no charge with better paint match?

I agree, the paint does not match in the pictures.

If you want to black out something (mirrors), and you do not want it perminant, Plastidip it. Its removable, and does not hurt the paint under it. Super easy too. I have done a few parts on my Audi- and am considering doing my Spyder wheels. That way I can always return it back to stock.

I do worry, but also figure that by buying a Spyder I essentially threw practicality out the window in the first place.

I noticed that too. Apparently, the mismatch is because of the clear film fading on the front. The color does match a lot better to the back section. I will probably get the lips wrapped too and see how it goes.

BTW, I also painted the bucket seat inserts to match exterior color. The color matches perfectly, which also tells me that it may be the film that throws the front off.

Like the grills, but would have to be gloss black,
Don't like the mirrors.

Remember in the old days, it was a big cost option to have colour coded mirrors, and now people paint back to black lol.

Seat insert is def not a nice look, but that's the great thing about modding, you do it because you like it ;-)

Wish my car had colour coded roll bar though, that looks good.

The thought occurred to me when I saw a beat up Toyota the other day, but then people used to pay more for a power top and air conditioning too...

Did you order the car with the painted roll bars?

No, they are more like Gun Metal. The previous owner had them custom made by 2llE Engineering:
