Default So I'm curious... (Spyder related)

Did your Spyder come with the interior dash "Boxster Spyder" decal above the glove box? Mine was never installed by the factory. Not sure why... I do have the cup holders, but I know plenty with the cup holders and the decal are still installed. Curious if I'm the only one?

Mine has them and I did add the cup holders back in. Mines a February 2011 Build.

Looks like they forgot to add the sticker.....

Could be the PTS option requires a different procedure/process than the standard colors and the decal is intended to be absent?

I know the little drink glass icon irritates me...so much so that I may have to get a replacement piece w/o the glass. If I had known the cup holders came with the glass I would have done without, I do not ever see myself using the cup holders anyway.

I have the 'boxster spyder' above my glovebox. No cupholders.

Every Spyder interior I have seen has the sticker; I'm sure it is PTS-related.

I wouldn't let it bother me. Because of the slight curvature of the panel, it always looks crooked anyway.

Kind of makes it cool, 'knowing' it's a PTS artifact.

Anyone have interior pictures of the Azure Blue Spyder to confirm if it is missing on that car too?

Re: decal & azure

I will check for the decal, and try and get some photographs posted this weekend, weather permitting. Between work and weather I have not yet had the top off to take pictures.

Alright! So 3 PTS spyders owners are on rennlist? Very cool. Congrats, jon911S, and welcome! The last one belongs to Porsche... the meteor gray.

Not for long! I have a friend in Carmel that will probably buy it. He had the first back-up on now Jon's 'Azure' when Mile had a deposit but decided he liked 'Meteor Gray' better. The driver's bucket is pretty much 'shot'. JSF101 reported on this from the Parade in Georgia when PCNA had it there on display. The car has seen rough duty at the Porsche World Roadshows and other 'test driving' experiences. Supposedly, Porsche will replace the seat with a new bucket in Carrera Red and check it all out for him. We will see if it all works out. I will keep you guys posted. Oregon (Cayman & Jon), Texas (JSF101) and California will hold all the PTS in their midst. The West rules! Saludos, z356
