Damn this forum, and dang it my head hurts now...
So after reading this forum the other day and finding out about the very few known PTS Spyder's that were delivered to the US, I am know wondering if I should trade in my rare white/tan PDK for one of these PTS cars. I love, love, love the Spyder, and love the white/tan combo, but the allure of a one off color car with some of the options I wish I had, manual transmission, Sport Buckets, Sports Exhaust, Xenon's, are very tempting.

There is only one left:

There is only 4 PTS Spyder's in the USA:
-Speed Yellow (JSF101)
-Riviera Blue (Mine)
-Azure Blue (Listed Above)
-Last one to be identified... Sold order though.
Then the Meteor Grey from the Detroit Auto Show per Z356 to be auctioned off.
Only the Meteor Grey is PDK with all others 6-speed Manuals.

mile2424,
think your white with sand beige is probably just as rare as a PTS!
at Parade there were only a few Spyders, two black ones at the autocross
think one of those entered the Concours
saw a white one, and know there was another white one with red leather but never saw it
would be nice if everyone signed up for the Spyder registry at www.dspyda.com
then, we'd know just how many Spyders were built and what options/color combos (and how few of each)
the Meteor Gray is still in PCNA's fleet, it was part of a large selection of cars they had on display at Parade (it is the same car that was at the Detroit auto show) and is the only metallic PTS
it looks stunning but does show some "wear"
I was told there have already been offers made to buy that car, but if it's not sold it will get "auctioned" to a dealer and then sold

Mile2424 - Go for it. It will remind you and your dad of beautiful Aquamarine Blues 356s with Red interiors of some late fifties Porsches!

The Azure/Carrera Red will be a classic PTS combination! It is an elegant and sophisticated look. Good luck with your decision. Saludos, z356 (Carmel)

From: Somewhere in a galaxy far, far away....
new boxster body is coming next year..... longer and wider to accept (gulp) hybrid system...
perhaps these old spyders may have some significance in time due in part of the smaller bodies... therefore a PTS would be a kick *** spyder to have in the garage...
hmmmmm....
love these paint to samples folks! very cool.

Funny my PTS Carrera in Maritime Blue came from Euroclassics in VA too, MSRP of $92k. It took them 6 months to sell the car, I wonder how long this $82k Boxster will take to sell?
Picture of car when new at Euroclassics.
