It reminds me of my Boxster Spyder of another era--the 914.

For me, I'd keep 'em on! I think it's a classic and classy look.

Ditto... Everyone talks about them when they see the car...

Look at Paul Miller Porsche in NJ for pictures of the white Spyder with red interior and red SPYDER on the sides

I like the stripes too. In fact, I am tempted to put then on my Orange Boxster S.

They have grown on me a bit, and helps makes the car instantly recognizable as a Spyder. But assuming replacements are available (car is a lease), I will probably remove them sooner than later.
You are not alone in your mixed feelings.
I had a very similar progression.

I believe there is a rear deck logo and also a decal delete option if you're ordering the car.

Suspect most dealers ordering for stock would include the stripes however.

Car looks great either way IMHO.

That looks aftermarket but would have to verify with the dealer.

Would be better if it was blended into the stripes with smaller font.

That red "Spyder" is a bit to much for me, maybe a touch smaller and have it more tied together like some of these after market vinyl ....

Personally the huge Spyder logo is kind of cheesy.

I think the stripes the way they are are perfect. Keeping mine!
