My Spyder is a beautiful example in Arctic silver, manual, sofas, and 25,000 miles. I realize silver is not everyone’s favorite, but it suits the car very well.

The ultimate spec Spyder for me is a unicorn:
- 6-speed manual
- AC delete & Stereo delete
 - LWB
- PSE
- Full leather
- Sport shifter
- PCCB

How many are out there in this configuration?
i think as long as you have the cores of the spec(mt lwb full leather) the rest aren't that hard to be "corrected" unless you want it to be oem of course

so far i've done numeric shifter/cable & ap racing brake kits which addressed the 2 main thins I don't like about the stock car. Next I've got a soul race header to improve the sound(mine has pse so not planning on change to aftermarket exhaust) & the last thing on my mind is do I take the leap for the short gearing mod.
a/c I need it same for the stereo & I found the cdr+ pretty decent.

It sounds like you owned a near twin to my car. With some patience, I’m sure you’ll find another great example - enjoy the hunt. Zeus is right about the search being a ton of fun!

I would love to know how many owners out there have sold their 987.2 Spyder and went on to purchase another one…and even a 3rd!

According to the Google list it's the ONLY one that ticks all those boxes!

But a nice silver over black is a beautiful Spyder. You just need some LWBS...
Zeus - maybe you can broker a deal for me on 096 with your friend. There can’t be that many people out there that actually want AC delete and radio delete, right? Haha

Bought it. Sold it. Bought it back.

(Many years ago I bought an NSX. Sold it to a local guy. Then bought it back from him. Then sold it back to him. The only winner was the state of CA)

Ha! Awesome, Dave. Both my previous cars the owners wouldn't sell! But so be it and I'm now in a GREAT example, enjoying every minute of it.

Seems like a decent price ($57,995) for Platinum Silver, MT.

Good catch on the boot lettering. I can't quite make out what it says, but it ain't "Spyder". Along with the high mileage, probably priced right. But should be looked at closely by prospective buyers.

The "Spyder" logo can also be seen above the "Porsche" logo on battery cover, under the front hood.

No doubt, this is a spyder!

From what I can see, above the spoiler are the block letters “P O R S C H E”. Below the spoiler the lettering says “981 Spyder”. I say…..whaaaa?

I’m guessing the owner wasn’t on Rennlist. Or wasn’t allowed to stay.

It says "987 Spyder"; they obviously copied the styling from the 718 spyder.

May just be the pictures, but the paint match on the front bumper looks off. Some variation (particularly in silver) is not unusual on 997s/987s, but it looks off to me.
