Could have bent or otherwise destroyed the stockers? Maybe just wanted to be different. Agreed they aren't the best design of HRE (IMO), but something like a 305M would look freeking amazing on a 987!
This one sold today for $63.5k plus buyers premium. There were some outstanding issues with the car, but it has LWB - which are worth $20K. Well bought.
^^^ I think that car was better than it showed, it just wasn't presented well. But still, I appreciate the lower price :-) I missed the final bidding was in middle of a negotiation and couldn't do both at same time... I'd have paid $65 for that to roll the dice. Oh well...
I've considered selling my 2011. 43k miles. 6 spd manual car. Carrera white over black, A/C, aftermarket exhaust, Sofa seats, no sport chrono. Small rock chips that have been nicely touched up on front. $65k.
The market on these cars is hard to follow. I don't really know if my price is good, average or bad but I'm not dying to get rid of it either. I'm located in northern Minnesota.

My Spyder is a beautiful example in Arctic silver, manual, sofas, and 25,000 miles. I realize silver is not everyone’s favorite, but it suits the car very well.
The ultimate spec Spyder for me is a unicorn:
- 6-speed manual
- AC delete & Stereo delete
- LWB
- PSE
- Full leather
- Sport shifter
- PCCB

According to the Google list it's the ONLY one that ticks all those boxes!
But a nice silver over black is a beautiful Spyder. You just need some LWBS...
My last one was 52k miles, Arctic silver over sport buckets, chrono, 6speed. I sold it for $47k but that was 4 years ago. There are some heavy asks out there right now, but that’s on all Porsches.
