Assembling and fitting the radiator assembly. It took me a while to work out the hose orientation, then I noted that Porsche had put marks on the parts. So simple if you know that.
@John McM I just want to commend your heroic effort and bravery here. I've so enjoyed just scrolling through this thread and seeing what parts are under the surface of these cars. It's like a cutaway illustration in some of your photos or a live action Porsche PET diagram. Really neat to see.

Bravo sir!
Ditto. Part of me selfishly hopes you run into problems and have to keep working at this for awhile. Otherwise I’ll have to find something else to read with my morning coffee.

Thanks. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is that interested. If I decide to sell it eventually, I will have a record to show what I did, so I carry on anyway

You have your wish. I have hit a minor roadblock.
I put the car back on its wheels and tested the brakes. The pedal was soft. A new round of bleeding got good initial pedal resistance but it still eventually goes to the floor.
There are umpteen threads and YouTube videos on brake bleeds but not on a new fill.
The identified issue is the ABS unit as that was dry when reinstalled. It needs to be activated on a PWIS to bleed each channel/corner.
No problem, my Durametric has that functionality. Or does it? The menu item is there but it doesn’t work. A quick Google search confirmed it’s a well known vapourware function.
All is not lost as I have followers on a FB thread willing to help. Watch this space.
While I was playing with the Durametric, I confirmed my current alarm status. The only one is the passenger seat, which makes sense because it’s not in the car.
I know there are people who would never buy a previously written off car. Given the choice, I would have been in the same camp, however knowing what I know about the damage and how I have fixed this, I would happily keep it for a long time. I’m so glad I went new with the dashboard, radiator, brake discs etc.

John, have a look at the Foxwell NT530 on Amazon. I used to have one of these units and I could have sworn it had this ABS functionality when scrolling through the various things it was capable of. They're 'relatively' inexpensive and if it doesn't pan out just send it back to Amazon. Bummer the Durametric doesn't have that feature.

Not only are we interested, I think you have a WW fan-group pulling for ya!
The body shop started making noises about finishing the job they had started. That meant facing the cost of the damaged fender lip. I tried local wreckers but no-one was able to source it, so I paid the Porsche tax. Ouch.
With the bodyshop being imminent it was pointless filling the cooling system and/or bleeding the abs. Instead, I drove it outside and pressure washed the wheel arches. The fleet
Back in the garage, I fitted the passenger seat and hooked up the Durametric. No faults on the car and the Air bag light goes out after the car self checks. A huge relief.
A small win. Rather than replace the dashboard centre speaker, I had the foam fixed. I wish I had known this was available when I was doing my 964 as many of the sizes are hard to find and refurbishing the existing speaker seems smart.
When I purchased the wreck, the bumper had been removed to assess the damage. They didn’t reattach it and the transporter refused to carry it unless it went in the car!
Long story short, a friend retrieved it and I had it freighted to me last week. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on bumper repair.
I have noted before that some muppet fitted a manual transmission bumper to a PDK car and the middle radiator was covered. It’s also not a correct Spyder part number. It seems to work so I’m not going to stress, and just get it fixed.
Not an easy item to package for transport. It worked well. Looks ok from this side. Not so good on the other side. Hot water, heat gun and hands should make this better. Ugly
