That’s a nice spec + quality history/records. Price is v reasonable, should sell now with spring fever in the air!
I’m still waiting for the last of the ice/snow to melt on the shady parts of our street but will soon have my very similar spec Spyder out in the springtime Rockies.
How are the michelin pilot sport 4s tyres on the spyder?
I need new tyres for mine and I am still in doubt for N-rated michelin tyres or the ps4s
I had the PS4S in factory sizes on my Cayman R wheels and was not at all happy. Ride comfort was great, but the sidewalls are way too soft giving a lack of feedback and sloppy turn-in feel. I would take an older N-rated PS2 or (I hate to say it) even N-rated Pzeros just because steering feel is one of my favorite parts of driving these cars. With the prevalence of the 'Cup' tires, the PS4S line was no longer to represent the pinnacle of performance, but more of the highest performance tire for daily drivers. That said, the goal of the PS4S as stated by Michelin was to provide the same outright grip and lap times as its predecessors, but with more comfort, less NVH, and greater tread longevity. They sacrificed steering feel and feedback in order to achieve those goals.
Stumbled across this local listing today. The description is all wrong and it’s PDK with high mileage, but both are reflected in the price. Looks clean in the pics. Nice way to get into a Spyder (other than buying mine of course).
Here’s a cream white listed for sale on Autotrader. I can’t attach the link, but the build sheet is below. Asking price is $125K and the car has 2600 miles.
Full dislosure: My Spyder can be had for much less.
