Unusual Comparison: 987.2 Spyder vs. 991.2 GT3

I randomly came across this today.
Makes me wonder, as I own a PDK 991.2 GT3 and I also have an incoming Spyder RS this summer.
I no longer have that much time to track the GT3, which is where she shines the most.
I love my GT3, but a part of me wonders if I’ll still keep her as a weekend fun car once the Spyder RS arrives?

Thanks for digging this up. I enjoyed reading through it and seeing other Gen-1 Spyder owners rattle off their love of these cars.
Your 718 RS? I'd love to get your impressions on it when you have it in your hands.
Myself, I just passed up such an allocation as I a) don't have room in the crib so b) my Gen-1 would have to go and c) it's another bonkers GT car that I think I'd last 6-months (?) and then jump back into a Gen-1 Spyder (Marine Blue now laughing haoff)
Keep us posted!

Honestly never meant to keep both but they are two such different cars. The GT3 fired me up for track days again. It is a complete rush at 10/10ths. But the forever road car is hands down the MT Spyder.

I love the 987 Spyder. I'm on my 3rd and this time I wont be selling it! But my 991.2 GT3 Touring is also a keeper! 2 of my favorite cars ever!
I love the balance of the 987 Spyder and it is amazingly easy to heal-toe! Most engaging road car for me without it being over the top fast.
I have Soul race headers with OEM PSE. It sounds amazing in sport mode and is louder than my GT3 with Sharkwerks bypass. But in normal mode is quiet enough for anywhere.
Granted it doesn't sound as good as the GT3 motor revving way up there but it sounds spectacular for sure.

Good to hear about your PSE/Race header set up. Some one on our FB Group (987.2 Porsche Boxster Spyder 987 Friends) has the same set up and loves it. I was always thinking SOUL 200 Cel headers.
