Michelin tires PS4S are fitted tomorrow. They are not N rated but it's never worried me before. The current Bridgestones will be used by a RS60 owner who does a lot of miles (parked on the road in this pic).

With the tires sorted, I'm waiting on the door latch microswitch and a paint gauge. Does anyone have readings off a known original paint car?

I'm running Michelin PS4 non-N rated and they are fantastic. Good choice!

Not sure of the exact difference but these are the S variety. I will use them at the club leadfoot experience day

Michelins fitted and new alignment. Front camber was well off. I wonder if the shipping journey from the UK did that?

I've set it up for fast back road driving and some track days.

Wow no joke with removing the door skins on these cars, that is multiple steps!

I also plan on changing up my alignment in the coming months for aggressive canyon driving. I’m assuming you maxed out the camber when you had yours changed?

Let us know what you think.

The door handle microswitch is the most labour intensive one to replace. Door card off, latch out and handle off. There was a lot of YouTube watching at each step to workout how to remove certain fasteners, especially at the latch. It took me close to 4 hours. I could do it in 90 minutes now I know exactly what has to be done.

Re the alignment, yes it’s maxed out on camber. The tire shop recommended I take it back to less aggressive settings when my track tour trip is over as otherwise I will chew out the tires. I was surprised at that comment as it’s not that aggressive at 1.15.

Each year, a core group of Porsche owners do a double weekend road trip. We drive to an area, explore it, park the cars then fly home. The following weekend we fly back and do another two days. It's a great opportunity to try driving in areas we can't easily get to in one weekend.

Today was the first day of the double weekend. A wet start and four or so hours of driving. The end of it was a narrow road through a forest. The Spyder was epic through the tight twisties. Where the 991 GT3 was apparently sledging I was carving it up. The Michelin PS4S has no issues with wet grip. I can't wait until tomorrow's adventure.

Wow, that sounds like a great adventure!

I’m looking forward to hearing more. Hopefully you get some dry weather and can really tear it up out there.

Another epic drive. GoPro footage to download later. Note the RS60 Spyder.

Fantastic pics John McM! And your mileage? I'm just about up there too (70500 Kms) and the Spyder is pulling strong as ever. What a GREAT car.

Thanks for posting.
