This WE he sent me this pic and today in the office we had a few minutes to talk about these days he spent with the car (commuting during the week and enjoying it during the WE)
He really enjoyed it, and told me that he was impressed on how the car changes with the sport button engaged.
Of course coming from a "modern" car he is missing some features such as the easy integration of phone, navi etc (I have the BOVEE solution), lack of spaces and the noise of the bikini top while cruising around 180km/h just to name the first I remember but in twisty roads he was amazed on how reactive the car was. So I'd say that I achieved the goal of making him have a flavor of what a light car could do.
We both knew from the beginning that a car like the 987 spyder was not what he was looking for (he wants a real 4 seater, comfortable and with a roof).
Next week we will go to test drive an RS5 that I am pretty sure he will like and buy.

If I do not wash it I'll soon have the cream colour option for free.

Ale, the 50th anniversary of Porsche's legendary 917 endurance racer is the featured article in the current issue of Panarama, the monthly magazine of the Porsche Club of America. These photos of 917's in your Bergspyder color scheme reminded me of your car!

This could be another interesting inexpensive wrapping for a white 987 spyder. The most complicated part would be the spoiler.
Good spot.

How could I resist to the Spyder brochure with the cover made with the spyder bikini top fabric plus the door strap?
Now I need a second one for the car documents to leave it in the car

That’s a good idea, I may have to seek out a second one too.

Google (ebay, local announcements etc). The problem is that sometimes they have crazy prices.
So better not to be in a hurry or to be ready to pay far too much (IMHO)
For instance:

Went with a friend here:

And because of that, I had to rinse it (insects have the very bad habit to commit suicide on my bumper and windscreen). Here after the boring job:

Looking great. Kills Bugs Fast is a very accurate statement for these cars.

Not too many updates, recently.
Took the car for the small service + PDK service.
While I was there I bought the interior car cover.

On the left walls some of the LeMans posters I found on internet and that I had them printed on some forex panels.
I found the JPG files here:
https://jalopnik.com/classic-porsche...com-1586074658

Quality is good enough for 40cmx30cm (my choice)

I have the same great cover. Love it, however, you may want to invest in some of these because you will find out, if you haven’t already, that this cover leaves a fine layer of lint on your black roof.

Certainly not a big deal. I’ve yet to wash my cover after 3.5 years so that might minimize/eliminate the lint issue to some degree/entirely.

Cool idea on the LeMans posters

Mmmmmmhh... I hate the thing that a 370 eur cover leaves lint but thanks for letting me know (at least I'll not start cursing when I see it ).
I will buy a couple of them.
For the posters, I decided to have the other 8 printed since they look better in real life than on the screen.

Yes lint rollers are a must with car covers. I intentionally went with a black cover to hide some of the lint, otherwise I would go crazy

Finally with all posters in place.
The cover has left no lint on the soft top, yuhu!
