Pretty car

Nice looking cage especially FIA bars.

Minor safety points:

- bottom strap of the triangle net should be wrapped around the back of the seat and attached to the vertical leg of the main hoop

- get rid of the rubber pedal covers (brake and clutch) and replace with something that is bolted (i.e. SRP, Rennline, etc)

GLWS!

Was going to say the same thing. Center net won't work as designed mounted this way. Ask Yonker about the pedals.

Indeed, the pedal covers can come off under braking and bad things happen.

Thank you everyone for the feedback! Hopefully this SPB will see some track days fairly soon.

I actually don't run with the rubber pedal covers, these were some photos during the assembly process before they have been removed, I should probably change them with newer photos The throttle pedal is replaced also and reinforced eliminating the plastic pedal that fails, and the brake/clutch pedal pads I install based on owners preference.

Again, I appreciate the feedback and response!

Nice build.. I was wondering how strong the market is for these high quality builds. Obviously you're moving them if you keep turning them out.

What's up with that front lip though? Why the standoffs?

Thank you for the comment!

I prefer to build detailed vehicles instead of churning out as many as possible. I do spend a little more time and put a bigger budget into the cars but they each come out how we prefer, as detailed and clean as possible. This one is build number 8 since we started with SPB back in late 2012. Each one progresses from the previous one built.

The lip is something new I am trying. Even though we don't see very high top speed on these cars, I am working to create downforce and also reduce drag by allowing air to flow through over the spoiler. It may or may not work, need a wind tunnel to test it 100% but the theory is there.

Here is another SPB that has the same idea. This was my #001 build that was sold.

Also very open to ideas and responses based on the above ^

I took my lip off your build - did help a bit with turn in on High speed corners, but found the straight line drag was putting me at a disadvantage

Very nice build - but unfortunately out of my price range!

For flat bottom cars like the Boxster all these front spoilers will do is disrupt the underbody airflow and reduce the top speed. In order to get some real downforce, you need an effective rear wing (that the SPB doesn't have) coupled with a front splitter.
