I'm thinking of buying this one but curious how it mounts over the stock lip. Any photos of it installed on a car? The ones on Rennline's @Rennline website aren't the best. I talked to Rennline at Werks Reunion in August and gave them some feedback on how I didn't like the idea of having to use the stock lip to support their lip.

 

I just ordered this yesterday and will be installing it next week.
I'll try and remember to grab some install pictures.

I'm in the same boat....if you have the sport lip on the standard front facia it almost sounds like you screw it into that then underneath the car.....which is fine, but if you don't have the OEM small front lip anymore like me :P( you need to source one. I would like to see some side pictures of it mounted as well. I would like to see how far it sticks out in front.

 

Yep. My car has the sport suspension so it came with the sport lip. Mines almost 11 years and shows plenty of wear so I’d be ok with cutting it up instead of buying a new standard lip. If that works…

 

I have it mounted and it sits up against the factory sport lip and uses stock mounting points across the bottom. It wasn't difficult yo install but helped that I had my car on a lift

 

You used the sport lip not standard lip and it fit?

 

That's definitely the standard front lip and not the sport.
You can see how the Rennline lip follows the lines in the standard lip below. The top of the stock lip sticks out above the Rennline carbon lip.
Luckily i kept my stock lip when I swapped to the Sport.

Love the way it looks but for $1200 how long do you think it will last driving on public streets?

 

Anyone seen a carbon fiber solution for the recessed oval shaped plastic across the middle above this front lip? Not sure what they call that but…

 

Do you mean the third radiator blank in the front facia?

 

@GeneratorX did you receive your lip and or get it installed? I’m going to order one this week.

 

It just showed up a few hrs ago from Pelican. ( I ordered it from Rennline direct,but guess they have Pelican do the distribution for them? )
I'm going to try and install it this week as it's the easier one of the 3 ( Rear diffuser, Skirts and front lip) to install I think.
Maybe tomorrow, but more like Thurs.
