Default Back in the club

As some of you know I have been on a hunt for a perfect (to me) spec 991.1 base with Manual ever since I sold my 991.1 Manual GTS

luckily a PCA member reached out to me with a Like-New 991.1 Base with 9k miles, Agare grey with full black leather , PSE, Sport Chrono and PASM
car is in better than new condition with full PPF, documented maintenance history and same owner for almost 9 yrs.

I was slightly skeptical about my long held theory that these base 991.1 Manuals are the forgotten and often overlooked gems, not to mention perfect for my driving habits and geographic driving radius, but one 50+ mile test drive fixed all of that.
What a joy it was to drive the little 3.4 Flat six through gears , I can say without hesitation that it is the perfect 911 for my needs and all the 911 I would ever need.

Happy to be back in the club.

car will be transported back to my home in Virginia in a couple of weeks. Will post more pics when I can

Thank you

It sure was cool but it was completely lost on me and for my driving needs. Due to street values and its rarity it became more of a garage ornament which is not how it should be.

I hope to drive the heck out of this "Base" car and not care for a second how rare it may be or how it might impact its street value.

That makes sense. I love a good "base" car. That's one of the reasons I ordered the T. Going on 5 years and 40k miles and I still love it!

Looks great! Any plans for mods (steering wheel, shifter, etc)? Welcome back!

shifter for sure. It being an early build .1, don’t know if steering mod is doable but I am going to give it a shot. Will report back.
DSC planned for sure.

I had a 2014 base with pdk. Sold it for my ‘19T because I wanted a manual. Loved the engine in that 2014 and think it would be a blast with a manual transmission. Enjoy it!

You can’t just buy a P car, and be in the club…
You have to have the hat also!

Make no sense to PPF a car that’s only driven 9,000 miles in 9 years. Good for the next buyer. Good luck with your new car!
