Opinions Sought
Hi All - opinions sought. The current Porschefolio consists of 3 997's - C4S, turbo (tip), and GT3, as well as a 993 (tip). All in great condition. I'm considering dropping all but one car as my retirement date approaches - and the question is which one to hang onto? The car will need to do DD / road trip work (up to 500miles/week) as well as cater for possible future infirmity as the intention is to hang onto it until the reaper comes to visit. Cross posting on other forums as well. Thanks in advance!

My opinion is the to keep the GT3 but not the most comfortable DD
but in truth your best bet is to sell the rest and get a used 992 991T and the GT3 would make a wonderful investment/enjoyment toy

Based on your criteria, keep the turbo tip. It’ll always hold value, be a great DD car, and as you get older, deleting that third pedal will be a benefit.

Keep the 997 Turbo (tip) as an only car, or as others mention, keep the GT3 for fun (and possible investment) and get a 991.2 PDK as the tourer/DD. It's depreciated more than the 992 and I prefer the looks. I had the S but the base is just fine. Both stupid fast and super luxurious with the full leather package.
Comfort entry might be useful in old age (seat and steering wheel move to make it easier to get in/out). I hated it - made me feel like the car/world was moving so switched it off. But others love it.

I agree with everyone, the 997T tip for long term DD and easy of usage later down your life. You can always keep the GT3 for as long as you can, they might increase in value?

Agree with Ed, the turbo is the keeper and best do it all car.

If the C4S is a .2 (or even an .1) in a MT, I might want to keep that over the turbo.
Every 911 for almost 10 years now is essentially a turbo (except for the GT cars), so there is nothing really special about the 997 turbo tiptronic as the PDK is a far better transmission.
