When I first picked up my car and had a 500 mile drive home in the rain, I put a set of Bosch Icon's on as I needed to replace the dry-rotted OEM blades for the drive home. That said, they're a bit 'chunky' looking, so once I was home I ordered a new set of Porsche OEM, which I think are the best looking (and perform just fine) on the front of the car.

I've used the PIAA refill blade along with the PIAA silicon treatment. @Petza914 did a nice How-To once upon a time...

You don't recognize the benefit until you've tried them. Water wiping is much improved and they're much quieter. You don't realize how noisy rubber wipers moving across the glass are until that noise is gone.

I have PIAA silicone blades or refills on all 9 of my cars now

Did you buy the PIAA wiper blade as well or just the silicon inserts? Would you be able to share the PIAA part number?
It appears that the PIAA insert width may not fit the OEM 997.2 metal blades?

Thanks!

I bought the inserts as the blades that were on my car when I bought it were in good shape. I don't recall the PN, but the size is 22" on both sides, I believe. I've got a .1, so not sure about about .2 fitment, but you can get the PIAA refills on a variety of sizes, so I'd check current blade width for reference. I will say, these blades have been on the car for nearly four years and are still in good shape though, for full disclosure, the car is garaged and rarely in the rain.

Thank you for the response. I ended up ordering just the silicone inserts on Amazon and the PIAA part# is 94055. They fit in the Porsche OEM blades perfectly! I have 997.2.
The width of the insert is 1/4" or 6mm. The length is 22" or 550mm.
I hope they last as long as yours!
