Just picked mine up. The intake noise and downshift blips are glorious.

I haven't heard anything regarding actual allocations being handed out, but my dealer has told me they're getting 10 GT4 RS allocations. Allocations will probably be given much closer to the unveiling or after the unveiling. Either way, it won't be for a good 4-6 months+ before allocations are being given out.

If you don’t already have a spot at a dealer, you’re likely not getting one. 718 GT4 RS lists started filling up years ago.

Are you serious? How many GT cars do they sell per year?

It's Porsche Austin, which I believe sells a fair amount of GT cars. That's just the number they said to me, so I had no idea if it's accurate or not.

Ok thanks, just sounds like a lot for rs unless it’s for 24+ months worth of allocation.

Maybe the production will run up to the MY2024 because the rumored Spyder RS is going to be a late MY2023 and/or MY2024 car.

I speculate that GT4 & Spyder will end on MY2022, then they will switch to produce GT4 RS as MY2023 to MY2024.

My dealer asked me a couple weeks ago if I wanted one. I said yes of course. I'm a sucker for new GT cars. I have no clue when it is coming though. He didn't seem to have any difinitive answers.

For those who are on the list for the 4RS, has anyone got contacted by the dealerships? I got a call from one dealership and they literally started a "bidding war" for the first allocation of the 4RS. The SA told me that the two highest bids are 80k and 100k.
Thoughts?

Default GT4 RS allocation thread

Folks,
So Porsche will officially release the 718 GT4 RS next month. Have you heard anything from the dealers? I got a call yesterday, and the SA literally said "how much can you offer for a GT4 RS allocation? Currently we have an offer at 100k and another one at 80k." Thoughts?

Please share your stories and if you have an allocation.

Edit: the dealer hasn't received any allocation yet. They are just selling their first allocation in advance.

I’m sure the promise of allocations are pretty fluid right now given everything that has already been discussed. I’m #3 on my dealers list with a deposit, but am I really #3? We all know friends and family get called first if #2 drops out. Some dealers will play the bidding war. Mine has indicated they are implementing new policy to cap ADMs ‘low’ whatever that means.

Demand and dealer behavior will shift once actual details are announced mid November.

My dealer is fairly confident that I can get the car if I want it. No deposit and he hasnt discussed the mark up (HA!). I feel he wants me to order the car and if I back out he can probably sell for more than he would charge me. So no skin off his nose... Will know if a few weeks...
