Thumbs up 10 years parked wish me luck

my 993 was just slow they are slow i was not driving it just working on it , but even that gets old , a week after it sold i was looking for white 6gt3 but with the prices of them there is no way i'm paying ,
so i remembered a buddy of mine had white 996tt that has been parked for few years , what i didn't realize is how times fly and the car was parked for at list 10 years , me loving project (not sure why)
i put it on the lift for few min bank wire and she' mine

on the lift

3 days after i got the car the immobilizer gave up on life

first thing is dropping oil

8L came out not bad for 10 year old oil

and i have much more to do !!!

How could you own a car like that and just let it sit there for that long?!

(Says the guy who also bought his car from someone who had just left their 996 sitting in the garage for years).

I hate seeing any car just sit and decompose. There is a thread on the Corvette forum of pics with forgotten C1,C2 &C3s which is heartbreaking, good for you for saving it.

after i put this car on the lift and looked it over he was with his wife , and i said ok i'll take it you can leave it here tomorrow we meet at the bank , then he made the mistake of telling me it's easier to leave the wife then the car

so he took the car , and i seen his wife face , next morning he called told me he had a bad night 30min he will be at my place ,

Happy for you. Congrats on the purchase. Who cares what you paid as long as you’re happy.

I bought a low mileage 996 turbo recently as well. Had to drain the fuel tank, replace the fuel pump and then do a full service. Was very expensive for me to get it drivable again. But, It was worth it.
