Engine Mounts

My passenger side engine mount is done.
I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find any definitive information. I know some of this objective, but I figured I'd ask anyway.
I have a '97 C2 Cabrio, I don't want any additional noise or vibration, but find Porsche prices for the OEM mounts to be insultingly high.
Are there any mounts which would give me the same ride, but at a cheaper price? Would any other 911 models (996, 997) fit the bill?
Any help would be helpful, ultimately I guess I would have to purchase the stock part if there isn't anything else.

I put the RS mounts in and I doubt that you will notice much of a difference, except the ride and handling will be a little tighter. The driving difference should outweigh any other changes. Mine came from Pelican Parts. Took me a little over an hour to install.

I went OEM RS from Sunset, a bit cheaper than Pelican when I purchased. No downside, fairly easy DIY install.
I've read that some go with C4 for less money, but no experience with that.
If you are looking for quietest solution, regular mount might be best, I don't notice any additional NVH from the RS.

Not looking to be cheap or buy garbage, and, not looking to change the ride. Better handling is good, but not at the expense of the ride.
But, given the price of the OEM parts, I figured there could be other options.

RS mounts. OEM. Really a no brainer. I haven't seen a downside.

Went with the C4 mounts, saves a little and couldn't tell any difference from the C2 mounts. Is reinforcement of the back brace required if you go RS? Thought there were a few threads suggesting it was necessary at the time.

I had my carrier reinforced. It is a serious hunk of steel now. But, it is a pain to take off to get it reinforced.

i'm running the rennline. beautiful and adjustable. 3 pillows....street, sport, and race. they are not cheap but neither is a pcar.

RS Mounts from Sunset Porsche for $450 was my first purchase after getting the C4 Cab. One of the original ones blew out when I jacked up the car to change the oil. I have been in freefall down the slippery slope eve since.

Beginner here that just had an engine mount replaced by the Indy. Not sure if RS or something else. Can someone explain what component of ride/handling the mounts help the most with? Should they replace the other to balance it out if only one was bad?

I had a different experience with the RS mounts. On my car with lightweight flywheel, the RS mounts added a lot of noise, like the trans was in the back seat vs underneath it. Went back to stock after about 30 miles and haven't looked back.
