I bought two of these for my '96 - they're OEM, and I'm very happy with them:

No need to pay extra for the RS mount unless you're looking for a 'racier' mount.

$325ea for OEM 993 RS mounts vs $850 I paid for my Ferrari 348; not too bad!

I have the Wevo mounts, lightweight and replaceable pillows. just do not overtighten, different torque spec than OEM. I also had my engine carrier reinforced.

+1 on wevo, I think it a little stiffer than stock but ride quality still good.

Hey All -
Went with Sunset Porsche for OEM replacements; Carrera S OEM type. .. Stupid money for a couple of OE engine mounts... Install is straight forward; 1.5hrs.

A contrarian view for $99 vs 200 for the dealer part:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/151994086297
Where do folks think Porsche gets their service parts for their service network for a car that has been out of production for over 20 years? Maybe some super special secret supplier who knocks off a few hundred sets of the on the low-down and doesn't offer them to anyone else, hardly? Porsche uses the same supply chain as every other aftermarket parts supplier for long out of production cars like the 993. These REIN mounts seem like the only ones with a similar form as the originals and are most likly the ones you get when purchased in a Porsche branded box.
Someone prove me wrong, please!
Andy

Instead of trying to turn this place into eHow.com, you should cut one open and let us know. Is the inexpensive mount the rubber filled or hydraulic version that Corteco sells to the aftermarket?

Another vote for the rennline adjustable. I've been running the middle set for a few years

Wow. Pelican Parts has a $50 markup on these mounts at $146.75.

Anyway, Rein is 993-375-049-09-M963 and the Porsche Genuine is 993-375-049-09-OEM

RS mounts! Best balance between performance and NVH. Unless you want GT or Racier solution these are a no brainer.

Some may be surprised that the RS mount fits the 997 as well as the 993 and is the best on both my 993 3.8 and 997.1.

Good point!
Sent a letter as I don't have one on hand to cut open:
CRP Industries Inc.

Dear CRP,
Are the REIN branded motor mounts made to fit Porsche 993 (911 1995-1998) and sold by you into the aftermarket fluid filled like the original ones mounted at the factory on these vehicles?
Also are the ones you supply to Porsche dealer distribution of the same construction?

Please advise,

Sent to these folks too via their web form on their corporate web site:
