Yet, another vote from me for "no comments allowed" rule in the for sale section. Why not start a discussion thread in the relevant forum, not the seller's ad?
Heaven forbid a seller sell a car at market price. Eventually, no one will want to take the abuse and the "cars for sale" section will dry up.

Welcome back Rod.
Many of us would prefer Jack Daniels not showcase this car at 20K over. That is why we are commenting. Think about the people on their waiting list for a GT4 who got royally screwed by the Daniel brothers and their weak attempt of finding some excuse to sell a cancelled order for a substantial market premium.
We should applaud those dealers that do the right thing and slam those who do not. Maybe the dealer (and you) will get it.
Would you prefer we start a separate thread.....Beware...Do Not Buy from Jack Daniels Porsche. I do not think so. Comments in this thread are just fine.

i'm all for calling out sellers with ridiculous asking prices - most of us are tuned into the market but for those that are new buyers, they need us to cover their backs.
think of it like an army with fingers and keyboards as weapons.

The current market will dictate the pricing of the vehicles, and if there's a drop in pricing we will adjust the price accordingly. I will undoubtedly bring everyone's thoughts and opinions on this subject matter to upper management. It's hard to defend myself as everyone has some valid points.

People who don't want comments in the classified section are people who would ask way over market value for their vehicle and then bitch and moan when everyone calls them out.
The comment section in the classifieds makes RL interesting/entertaining. List your car on Pelican, Cars, Ebay etc... if you don't want to hear peoples opinions.

The "market is the market." Whether it's a new car or a used one, if it's priced correctly, it will sell; if not it will sit. Regarding comments in the "for sale section;" anyone that posts here knows that IB takes a different [and open] approach that allows for "feedback." If a seller doesn't want comments/criticism, they should post on Pelican and other "closed" sites.

This is totally unacceptable. You only have 91 posts and you are advertising over MSRP. Only Isringhausen and PNH are allowed to do that on this forum, they are long time members.
You have to advertise cars at MSRP Or below until you have built enough street cred to not get ridicule from RLers on your over MSRP threads.

@going2drt, seriously. Not standing up for OP, but he has a right to advertise his price just as Jp or Geoff. The market will speak. Doubt anyone will pay 20k over anyway, but who knows.

I see it as supply and demand. There is nothing wrong with a dealership charging any price they want for their cars. Let the market decided if it's over-priced. It you think it's too much, don't buy it.
