In this case, I hope they're just painted black & de-badged:

^^ Re-painting the supposedly demolished demos is the perfect solution, since everyone knows the 997 Speedster isn't offered in black

Want another color? Sorry.

^^^looks like the 'test lot' just down the street from the old museum in Stuttgart. It is a 'must see' when you're there, because it's where all of the test mules are parked between "evaluation runs". There's all kinds of prototype body modded GT series and Turbo cars just parked door handle to door handle, completely trashed from high-speed autobahn and track work ... It's HEAVEN!!

It's HEAVEN!!
I was there visiting 'heaven' & saw an 'angel' (otherwise known as a lucky Porsche employee) who had just finished an 'evaluation run.' He sped up in a brand new Boxster S. Screeching to a halt, he kicked out his anonymous friend from the copilot seat, & then disappeared with his next buddy.

Each of their grins was as wide as the back of your C2S cab

It's my impression every Porsche employee can apply to test drive cars right off the assembly line for a year at a time.
There are stipulations, like maybe only getting the gig once a decade, but ... what a PERK!
