You guys forgot the worlds worst paint job on a 993.......Yecchhhhhh!!!!!!!!

The last pix is of the only car besides a Porsche 917 that the Gulf paint looks good on!

Mmmh, not bad for the 993, but to my eyes the orange colour strip is too wide.

I'm actually painting my Saker SVS in the Gulf paint scheme... Differant strokes for differant folks I guess.

Well, GM did - they continued to build the Corvette but for the American market only! The Opel GT was the poor man's Corvette in Germany developped in Germany, and built from 1968 through 1973. Then the energy crisis hit in 1974, which was a turning point in car development in Germany. Many projects were discontinued in fear of the oil shortage including a project that VW had in the works headed by Porsche. This project was the latter 924 and 924s - saved Porsche's neck back at this time and so did the 993 in the Mid 90's.

I still have my old 924s - great little car! The handling is just outstanding!
