So the essentials. VIN is WP0CA29889U710509. The car has 55,876mi on the odometer. It has the Sport Chrono package, heated seats, heated steering wheel, BOSE audio, and Xenon HID headlights. It has all original paint with no resprays or repairs (I went over the car panel by panel with the previous owner and a paint gauge). It has a clear, accident free record and I have the title in hand. The maintenance records are not as thorough as I usually require because the previous 2 owners were DIY guys and wrote down most of the notes by hand, but I do have some of the records showing the spark plugs were replaced, oil changes and some other maintenance items. Upon purchase, I changed the oil and oil filter myself, replaced the battery and replaced 2 rear tires with brand new Bridgestone RE71R tires in 265/45/18 size. The fronts are also RE71R tires with about 50% left on them. The car passed our required, annual state inspection in March which tests for all safety items like tread depth, working lights, no CELs, etc.
It is all completely stock, minus a dual exhaust tip to replace the oval tip that came standard on the base Boxster. Areas of concern? There are two less than dime sized door dings on the car that need to be pointed out to see. The car has a paint protection film over the front bumper, 1/3rd hood and mirrors. The headlights could use some lens buffing, and of course the car has some minor rock chips that might be expected on a 56K mile 10 year old car, but it is all in really good shape overall. The series on the rear tires is taller than that on the front (235/40/18) because I just replaced the rears and planned to go to to 245 series when I replace the fronts, but didn't want to remove tires that were still good. Those that know the Porsche Boxster evolution know that the IMS worries of earlier cars was completely eliminated with the 987.2, but that Porsche also did not go to direct injection on the base Boxster for that year also eliminating the worry of carbon buildup. This is truly the sweet spot of used Porsche Boxster ownership, and if you don't believe me, please do your research.
This car is a blast to drive. I've owned several Porsches and all of them have had more horsepower. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the most fun Porsche I've owned to take around twisty back roads at legal speeds. The drive is sublime. The combination of the light weight, sticky tires, PDK w/ Sport Chrono, mid-engine balance and hydraulic steering (that went to electronic steering with the 981 model) makes this car tons of fun. It is the best bang for the buck Porsche I've ever owned, full stop.
Here are the pictures and a short little walk-around video I just took with the car running. PM is the best way to get in touch with me and if you're truly interested, we can move it to email or phone to hammer out any details. I will take the car for a PPI at the buyer's expense. I've bought and sold a lot of cars, and a few on Rennlist, and am an honest and fair seller who is a member of this community and the PCA as well. I hope someone buys it that will actually drive it!
