'84 suspension removed, including brakes since those will be part of the swap.
Total time, including chasing after the dog, some coffee and some work items to deal with on a day off, was around 90 minutes.
Both the tie rod and and ball joint took some additional time since I got the nuts loose but didn't fully remove them and then hand tighten them back on, so when I went to remove them the nuts where spinning the shafts too. Lesson learned for the other side.
Got the S4 lower suspension mounted, went on quite easily. I just roughly positioned it in place, used a floor jack to off it up, got a couple of nuts threaded and then tightened and aligned as I went.
Personal taste but on a red car the S4 calipers look better black.
There's no accounting for personal taste!
Looked superb in red when I had my Guard's red S4. On std setup wheels it makes little difference as you cannot really see the calipers but when you have 3 piece 18 inch forged wheels and you can see everything there is no substitute for red calipers. On my Cobalt Blue GTS they are even better [of course].
